Romance in Paris Hood Scarf
This scarf is knitted flat, so there is no need for circular needles.
You might need two markers to help you knit the scarf’s left and right sections. You will require two stitch markers when you reach the third section of the pattern, where the hood is formed.
The pattern offers three sizes:
Size L is ideal for most adults.
Size M is suitable for school-aged children.
Size S is designed for smaller children.
While color fading is encouraged, it is recommended to use the same color combination for the pointed ends of the scarf for a cohesive look.
Begin by knitting the two pointed sections ( wings ) of the scarf. Start with the left side, placing it on hold once completed, and then proceed with the right side. After knitting the desired length of the sides, join them together to form the hood. This is achieved by increasing stitches for a portion of the section and then decreasing to shape the hood.
To finish the scarf, use the invisible grafting technique to seamlessly join the top edge. ( see the directions on page 2. )

Why “Romance in Paris“?
As I worked on this design, I imagined the elegance of Parisian women, wearing silk scarves around their necks or heads. Their grace, beauty, and strength inspired the creation of this piece, reminiscent of the timeless style of iconic Bond girls and the unforgettable fashion of Brigitte Bardot. Paris, one of the most romantic cities in the world, and its chic scarf-wearing culture, served as the perfect inspiration for this luxurious design.

Materials:
The scarf is made with ESME base yarn from Pink Queen Yarns, which consists of:
69% Silk, 22% Kid Mohair, 9% Polyamide
This hand-dyed, non-superwash yarn comes in 100g skeins, each containing approximately 350 meters (383 yards) of fingering size yarn.
For this project, I used 4 skeins of Esme in three different colors: 2 skeins from the Color of the Month Club – March 2024, 1 skein of London Calling, 1 skein of Moonlight Shadow
The total 1400 m / 1531 yards yarn was used in.

The Gauge:
After washing, blocking and drying in stockinet stitch.
Please note, I did not block the scarf by agitating or using heavy pressure.
18 sts * 27 rows = 10 * 10 cm (4 inch ) with 5 mm ( US 8 size ) needle
