Romanticist’s Bandana
The Romanticist’s Bandana is a quick stash busting project for anyone looking to add a little whimsy to their accessory wardrobe. It’s constructed by casting on the point of the bandana and increasing on either side while simultaneously working a delicate diamond repeat until a desired width is established. It can easily be modified to different sizes by either omitting or adding repeats. An i-cord edge is then added on to create the ties.
Yarn
50g Rowan Summerlite Dk (130m/50g) or 50g Debbie Bliss Eco Baby (125m/50g)
My testers used a wide variety of yarn choices that all met gauge and created beautiful finished objects.
Needles
3.75 mm/5US circular needles w/ 16” (40cm) cord
Gauge
22 stitches, 30 rows to 10cm in stockinette
Sizes
This pattern is written to one final size for an adult, however if you would like to make a smaller version all that would be necessary to do to change the size would be to omit repeats of the pattern and to add on the i-cord tie at desired width.
