This downloadable PDF pattern contains knitting patterns for roosting and perching pigeons. The difference is simply that one has feet and the other doesn’t - feet can be a pain to knit. The pattern is written for the familiar grey pigeon with black wing bars. If you want to knit an all-white or all-grey pigeon, keep the feet pink and the cere (bit above the beak) white.

• Pair 3.25 mm knitting needles
• 50 – 100g of DK in mid grey and dark grey
• Oddments of metallic green (neck), black (eyes, tail and wing bars), white (eyes and cere) and pink (feet)
• Optional: pair small toy eyes per pigeon
• Safety toy stuffing
