Get ready to brave the winter freeze in this warm cap! The textured brim is densely knit to keep ears extra-warm, and the slouchy, smooth stockinette body of the hat ensures a comfortable fit.

Three different stitch patterns keep this project interesting, but the fact that the majority of the hat is done in stockinette means this is still a quick knit. Finished sizes measure 16.5” (18.5”, 20.5”, 22.5”) in circumference, which corresponds to: Toddler (Child, Smaller Teen / Adult, Larger Teen / Adult). Please note that the decrease section was modified at the conclusion of the test knit, so the hat would have a rounded back rather than a pointed one. There is a clear photo of the back on this pattern page that shows the decreases, but tester’s photos reflect the decreases from the test pattern before it was modified.

•For the Slouch Version (pictured): 190 (210, 230, 250) yds DK-weight yarn. For the Beanie Version (not pictured): 140 (160, 180, 200) yds DK-weight yarn. Sample was made from Jojoland Splatter Dash 100% Merino, 220 yds per 100g skein) in color # 033.
