Rory The Rabbit Baby Blanket
’Rory The Rabbit’ ( named after my little grandson ) is a beautiful versatile blanket I knitted in Robin DK yarn but a good alternative would be Paintbox Simply DK yarn. Because each square is knitted individually this blanket can be made as large or as small as required for your chosen project which will alter how much yarn is required. Although I have called this a babies blanket it could be enjoyed by older childen as a throw on their bed. Just by adding more squares.
I used crochet to join my squares together but it would look just as beautiful and effective using blanket stitch.
I have added diagrams in my pattern for French knots which I used for the baby rabbits eyes but I also have given alternative suggestions. Also I have included a ‘How To Guide’ on how to sew a chain stitch.
Happy knitting
