The child’s dress design “Rosa” was inspired by the folk dress of the Schaumburg-Lippe region in Germany. Here the women wear a knitted shawl wrapped around their chest above a wide skirt.
This dress turns out to be very special if you use a second-hand man’s shirt, cut off below the sleeves (as you can see with the reddish dress in the photographs). You could also opt to add another layer of fabric to the skirt, e.g. an underskirt or an apron, which you can see pictured in the navy blue/white version of the “Rosa” dress. Since the top part is a small knitted piece and you just add a simple sewn skirt, this is a project which can be realised very quickly.
Techniques used: moss stitch, knit, purl, I-cord, increase, double increase, decrease, double decrease, short rows
sizes: 74/80 (1 year old) to 122/128 (8 year old).
I knitted it in Organic wool No.03 (Schafwolle #03) by Hey Mama Wolf and needed 1 skein. Other yarn options: Rosy Green Wool “Cheeky Merino Joy” or BC Garn “ Semilla”.

Das Kinderkleid ROSA hat eine gestrickte Passe und einen angenähten Rock. Ideal für diejenigen, die gerne stricken, gerne nähen und gerne schnell fertig sind. Für den Rockteil kann auch sehr gut ein altes Herrenhemd genommen werden - fertig ist das Upcyclingprojekt.
Die Passe ist im Perlmuster, mit verkürzten Reihen und i-Cord gestrickt. Du solltest über sehr gute Strickkenntnisse verfügen. Der genähte Teil ist sehr simpel gehalten und kommt mit drei geraden Nähten aus.
Die Anleitung für das Kinderkleid enthält die Größen 74/80 bis 122/128 und besteht aus einer detailierten Beschreibung sowie Maßangaben.
Gestrickt habe ich es bisher in Schafwolle No. 03 von Hey Mama Wolf, Cheeky Merino Joy von Rosy Green Wool und Semilla von BC Garn. Es eignet sich auch Schafwolle No. 02 von Hey Mama Wolf.
