This is a project that I started at Malaysia when I was back for vacation. I forgot to pack any yarn with me therefore I had to grab few skeins of merino double knitting yarn from a local yarn store.

It was not a very pleasant experience to knit with this new thicker coarse woolen yarn but the shawl gets softer after washed and blocked. You may use a size smaller needle to knit if fingering weight yarn is used instead.

This pattern can easily be modified to larger size by adding multiply of 64sts at the cast on.
