Using a different size yarn with a suitable hook will preserve the proportions while making your amigurumi larger or smaller.
This pattern is worked in the amigurumi method, a continuous spiral. No slip stitches or chains are needed between rounds. It is helpful to use a stitch marker to mark where you start/end your round.
