Any Medium Worsted Weight yarn can be used Aran Weight for Britain - 10 Ply for Australia. The hat looks equally good in either cotton or wool. It can be made in one evening, very easy to make. The pattern utilises mostly SC. Must have basic knowledge of simple crochet techniques.
