I only used one ball of yarn for my socks, which are a womens size 6-7, if making larger sizes, you might need more than one ball.

This pattern is written for a US womens size 6-7 shoe but with notes on how to customize to any size. It’s super easy, it consists almost entirely of double crochet and goes super fast. There’s only one row of decreasing right at the very end.
Chain at the beginning of each round never counts as a stitch.
