This rose would make the perfect embellishment for a hat or ear warmer or would even look great on an alligator clip or French barrette. (This rose is also included in my Spiral Sun Cloche pattern.)

ONE SIZE: though depending on the yarn and hook you use, your rose’s size will vary. (I used fingering weight yarn and C (2.75mm) hook and my rose was 3 1/2 inches across. Worsted weight yarn will make a larger rose.) Pattern also gives quick instructions on how to modify to make the rose smaller or larger.

Materials needed:
-This pattern can be easily adapted to any crochet hook size and yarn weight. I used a C (2.75mm) hook and fingering weight, 4 ply (14 wpi) yarn (Knit Picks Comfy Fingering): 42 yards for the rose and under 10 yards for the leaves.
-yarn needle/scissors
-Pearl or other embellishment for center of rose (optional)

My testers were able to use fingering weight 4 ply (14 wpi) (#1) yarn with a C (2.75mm) hook as well as worsted weight #4 yarn with a G (4.25mm) hook. Both roses look similar but the fingering weight one has a more delicate feel.

The pattern includes instructions for making the rose and the leaves. This is rose is made in one strip and is rolled to make the flower shape. The leaves are worked in one piece or they could be worked as an individual leaf.

Pattern is in American English and is rated for an experienced beginner.
