One set steel double pointed needles No. 12 (2¼ MM) [US1] for medium size, or No. 11 (2¾ MM) [US2] for large size

Gauge: No. 12 [US1] needles: 8 sts = 1 inch; 9 rounds = 1 inch; No. 11 [US2] needles: 7 sts = 1 inch; 8 rounds = 1 inch
