The name for this shawlette originates from Portland, Oregon, otherwise known as “the City of Roses” or “Rose City.” It was inspired by the beautiful rose blooms in late spring and summer.

The shawlette features half double crochet stitches as well as repeated sections using the sprig stitch. It is finished off with a simple single crochet border. This is a quick project and is the perfect accessory for the transitioning seasons - its cozy, but also light and airy.

This only uses a single skein of fingering weight yarn. The pattern requires a minimum of 415-437yds / 100g. Tests ranged from 382-481 yds. Less yardage yields smaller dimensions.
