Rose Maiden features Estonian type design, with Estonian and Shetland stitch patterns.

It would be very easy to widen this pattern. The central pattern repeat is 20 sts, the berry pattern repeat is 4, the edging 10. So just widen by 20 stitches for every extra repeat of the rose trellis pattern wanted.

The pattern is written in garter stitch. However, either or both of the lace patterns can be worked on a stockinette background simply by purling the wrong side rows of those sections. Both lace patterns are attractive either way. The patterns are so lacy they will block out to match in any combination of bases.

The lace rose trellis motifs, blocked, are 4.25” x 6.25” (11 cm x 16 cm).
