A simple Norwegian motif is paired with a lice stitch to shorten the floats. The colors are reversed for one repeat and then reversed again. To shape the crown, an ssk (left-leaning decrease) is worked at the end of each pattern repeat with a surprising result. Substituting a gradient dyed yarn or a speckle for the hand-painted yarn would be lovely.
