Rose Meadow
Rose Meadow is a deceptively simple crescent shaped shawl, knitted from the centre top down to the border in one piece. The lace motifs flow between small leaf designs and fleurette, and as my yarn was named Rose Wine, this shawl has become a Rose Meadow.
The shawl is designed for fingering weight yarn and uses just a single skein. It is a great beginner lace pattern as it uses only basic lace stitches on the right side only, and the wrong side is all purl. The lace patterns are no more than six stitches to a repeat, so are easy to memorise, while the changes from one section to the next keeps the pattern interesting.
Both charted and written instructions are included in this pattern. The blocked and relaxed piece as knitted measured approximately 32cm deep with a span of 170cm, however the final size will vary according to your own choice of yarn and needle, as well as your knitting tension.

3.25mm or US 3 needles
