For this Rose the only reason you will need to use a needle is to weave in your ends. There is no wrapping or rolling with this pattern. You can make it one solid color, or use up to 3 different colors. Add it to a stem to put into a vase, or attach to an ear warmer or shawl for a pop of decoration.
