Delicate petals in freshly baked bread,
A light hint of pink in this excellent spread - of flower strewn salads and meadowsweet teas,
Rose petal sandwiches certain to please.

Napkins on hand should a paper plate bend.
Filled up by food, restored by our friends.

The Rose Petal Sandwich Socks feature garter stitch columns with a single stocking stitch line meandering from side to side, inspired by the stacks of rose petal sandwiches and other delicious provisions being prepared for an adventure in Brambly Hedge - the wonderful books by Jill Barklem. With a pleasant and flowing pattern they make for very enjoyable knitting. They are worked cuff down and finished with an eye of partridge heel flap and a rounded wedge toe.
