Rose Petals
Rose Petals has a beautiful lace panel that runs along one side, creating a wide border. This slightly asymmetric triangle shawl is worked diagonally with delicate lace and subtle texture.
There’s plenty to keep you engaged. You begin knitting the lace panel with just a few stitches, increasing to its full width. Then you continue with the lace panel while also working on the growing body section. The textured body features smooth stockinette stitch with horizontal garter ridges.
YARN
2 skeins of Julie Asselin Leizu Fingering Simple (90% merino, 10% silk; 434 m / 475 yds per 115 g). Shown in colour Rose Gold.
Or approximately 839 m / 917 yds of similar fingering weight yarn.
You can easily adjust the amount of yarn needed and the size of the shawl by making fewer or extra pattern repeats.
NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size to obtain pattern gauge
This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using 80-100 cm / 32-40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
