Description
Rosea Sweater is a feminine drop-shoulder sweater with added sleeves. The sweater has a beautiful, twisted rib pattern with twisted knit stitches. You will knit the sweater with two thin alpaca threads and one Silk Mohair thread. The sweater is knitted top down, and you will start casting on stitches for the back piece and then knit this part back and forth while shaping the shoulders in the beginning by doing short rows.
The back piece’s stitches are set to rest when the yoke has the correct length – meaning the armhole opening has the right depth. Now you must knit the front piece and pick up stitches in the back piece’s cast-on edge along the shoulders. Each shoulder – the left and the right front piece is knitted separately when shaping the rounded part of the neckline. When the neckline is shaped, you will gather the right and the left front piece by casting on stitches with the backward loop cast-on method, which simultaneously creates the horizontal part of the neckline on the front piece. Now the front piece is knitted back and forth until the front and back pieces have the same length, and you are ready to gather your work and knit the body in the round. Next, you must pick up stitches for the sleeve around the armhole opening and knit your sleeve in the round with the magic loop technique. All edges are finished by knitting stockinette stitches in the round on smaller needles and only using your alpaca threads. The sweater has positive ease on 0-10 cm.

Materials
250 (250) 300 (300) 300 (350) 350 g of Alpaca 1 from Isager Yarn 400 m/50 g two threads held together with 125 (125) 125 (150) 175 (175) 175 g of Silk Mohair from Isager Yarn 212 m/25 g or another similar quality.

The pictured version is a size XS and has a positive ease of 9 cm - the model’s bust measurement is 82 cm. The Sweater is knitted up in color Peach (2 threads of Alpaca 1) and color 62 (1 strand of Silk Mohair) held together.

You will also need 2 stitch markers knitting this sweater – they must be able to open as a safety pin.

Needles
The sweater is knitted in a twisted rib pattern with twisted knit stitches on a needle size 4.5 mm (80-100 cm) using two threads of Alpaca 1 and one strand of Silk Mohair. You will knit the first part of the sweater back and forth and the rest– the body and the sleeves - in the round. I recommend having two circular needles in size 4.5 mm (80 cm), which makes it easier for you when stitches are set to rest. You can also use a stitch holder, a wire, or a thread.
All edges are knitted in stockinette stitch on needle size 2.5 mm (80 cm), using the magic loop technique only using the alpaca threads.

Gauge
22 sts x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm on needle size 4.5 mm in twisted ribbing (k1 tbl, p1) with two Alpaca threads and one Silk Mohair strand.
