This square was designed for Granny Square Day 2023 (15th August), an annual event hosted on Instagram by Simply Crochet magazine. It’s an adapted version of one of the roses from my Skull and Roses Pattern. A double crochet (UK) square bordered with one row of double crochet, embroidered with a rose created from cross stitches and surface slip stitched leaves.

Simple, but beautiful!

The finished blocked square is approximately 12cm x 12cm.
