Packed full of pattern, Rosecroft is a top-down sweater featuring a mix of geometric and floral motifs created with all-over stranded colourwork. After watching the yoke come to life, the body and sleeves are knitted in a rhythmic, easy-to-remember colourwork pattern. Three colours of Knitting For Olive Merino Fingering yarn are used to create a warm yet lightweight sweater perfect for the transitional seasons.

27 sts and 39 rnds = 10cm / 4” in Stockinette Stitch and MC using 3.25mm / US 3 needle after blocking.

28 sts and 34 rnds = 10cm / 4” in stranded colourwork and MC and CC1 using 3.5mm / US 4 needle after blocking.

29 sts and 40 rnds = 10cm / 4” in 1X1 Rib and MC using 2.75mm / US 2 after blocking.

Always use a needle size that achieves the correct gauge.

Recommended to be worn with 3.5-7.5cm / 1.5-3” of positive ease.

To achieve the same look as the sample, choose a similar amount of ease. If between sizes, choose the next larger size for a looser fit, or smaller size for a closer fit.

Construction Notes
Knitted seamlessly from the top down, beginning with the collar. Short row shaping takes place after the collar is complete. Once the yoke is complete, the sleeves are separated by placing the stitches on hold while the body is finished. The body is knitted straight, without waist shaping. The sleeves are then returned to the needle, stitches are picked up for the underarm, and the sleeves are completed. The yoke pattern differs slightly among the sweater sizes.
