Rosewood Shawl
A textured shawl that suites any season and can be worn in a variety of ways. With a mixed collection of stitches, this shawl is perfect for anyone from advanced beginners to more experienced knitters. Slip stitches and rib sections will produce enough diversity to keep you pleased. My favorite detail on the shawl entails a slipped stitch along the top that delicately pops over garter stitches and keeps the top border just as eclectic as the rest of the piece.
This shawl pattern can be made with any type of dk yarn, but I found that semi-solids brought an extra touch of extravagance :)
I used almost two whole skeins of madelinetosh dk and had only about 20- 25 yards left after the shawl was completed.
You can use any type of U.S. 8 knitting needles, although circular needles with a longer cable work best due to the size of the end product.
