Rosie the Riveter We Can Do It Empowerment
Rosie the Riveter, a symbol for Women Empowerment! Rosie the Riveter was an allegorical American cultural icon created during WW2. The 2 most popular Rosie the Riveter campaigns were the We Can Do It! and the Norman Rockwell posters. She now symbolizes the working women, the working moms, female empowerment, and the female trifecta: Brains, Brawns, and Beauty!
This is an instant PDF download crochet pattern of the Rosie the Riveter doll holding her safety goggles.
Skill level: ★★☆☆☆ Beginner-Intermediate. The detailed instructions include step-by-step pictures, along with tutorials and videos from PlanetJune by June Gilbank and Hooked By Katie for crochet techniques. Basic techniques include magic ring, single/half double/double/treble (triple) crochet (sc, hdc, dc, tr), increase and decrease stitches, color change, crochet in rounds and rows. US terminology. Methods used in this pattern involve little sewing (as I’m not a big fan of assembled sewing). Alternative methods are also included in the pattern.
