Rosie the Riveter is the first in a series of strong women shawls. The men had been called to war and twas up to the women to manufacture the parts needed to build air crafts and support the war effort. the character Rosie the Riveter was created to advertise to the world not only were the men doing there duty for the country but the women were stepping up to help the effort as well.
