Row 17 should be purl. If knitted, as the pattern instructs, it produces a pink garter stitch ridge where the pink picot border joins the white garter stitch. This is not in the photo and does not match the picot edge at the top of the booties.

For the picot edging at the top, the first row should be: “Work 4 rows in SS” (not 3), and the last row should be “Work 3 rows in SS” (not 4).
