Rotifer Plushy
The rotifer plushy is worked as one continuous piece for the body and toes. The corona are worked separately and sewn to the head. A picture tutorial is provided for any difficult steps. A scientific tutorial is included explaining what a rotifer is and how they are helping scientists with space exploration. This pattern would make a great Montessori or homeschool project for older kids.
Difficulty
This project uses the single crochet stitch throughout. There is minimal shaping using single crochet increases and decreases. Pictures are provided to clarify any difficult steps.
Finished Measurements
rotifer is approximately 35cm tall and 17cm wide.
Yarn
Approximately 220 yards of a medium weight 4 acrylic yarn
Sample was made using 220 yards of Loops and Threads Impeccable yarn in the color “forest”
