Very intricate colorwork design, its a beautiful hat which will surely get you a lot of compliments!
This hat is worked from the bottom up, beginning with a ribbed brim. After knitting the brim, stitches are increased for the body of hat and the needle size is changed before beginning the charted colorwork pattern.
Difficulty level: Intermediate.
Yarn: Malabrigo sock yarn, (440 yds/402m, 3.5 oz/100g per skeins).1 skein each in Natural (MC) and Black (CC)
Approximately 230 - 250 yards are required for each color, Natural (MC) and Black(CC)
Size & Measurements: 17(19, 21)“/ 43 (48, 53)cm
Unstreched circumference to be worn with 2” of negative ease at ribbed band.
Yarn: Malabrigo Sock (440 yd / 402 m per 3 .53 oz / 100 g skein; 100% Merino):
1 skein each in Natural (MC) and Black (CC)
Approximately 250 - 280 yards are required for each color, Natural (MC) and Black(CC).
Gauge: 36 sts and 38 rows = 4” in stranded pattern blocked in round,using larger needle.
Adjust needle size to obtain correct gauge.
Needles : Size US 1 /2.5 mm and US 2 /2.75mm 16” circular . US 2/2.75mm; one set of double pointed (Dpns).
Notions: Stitch markers (m), tapestry needle.
