Happy Collie-days everyone!
This project is a labour of love for me, dedicated to all the wonderful Collies I’ve had in my life.

These Rough Collie Ornaments can be worked in four different styles: Flat, Looped, Straight and Fluffy. There are helpful links to YouTube videos included as well as charts and written instructions for all styles.
The flat ornaments are knitted in garter stitch and the fluffy ones are garter with a wrong side loop stitch. There are two sides that get stitched together to form the 3D ornament.
These can be made with any worsted weight yarn and needles that are smaller to insure a tighter weave.
I like to use pure wool yarns because they can be blocked, but I have also used various acrylic yarns as well. Just choose one or the other and don’t mix.
Included are also various colour-ways of Collies. (Sable, Tri, and Blue Merle )
The materials needed are:
- Worsted weight yarn (in Collie colours)
- US 3 needles (or size of your choice)
- Yarn needle
- Small amount of stuffing (if desired)
- Scissors

For the “fluffy”version
- Metal toothed comb (dog grooming variety)

Please feel free to make these for your own use or as gifts. These would also make great fundraiser for Collie Clubs etc. but please don’t sell them or the pattern as your own.
