Rough N Tumble Hat
Materials Needed:
I/5.5MM hook
Worsted (#4) Weight yarn
Yarn needle
Tape Measure
Finished hat dimensions are 8 (9, 10, 10.5, 11.5)“ wide by 7 (7.5, 8, 8.5, 9)” tall when flattened and lightly stretched.
If you have tight tension normally, go up a hook size. If you have loose tension normally, go down a hook size.
This comes in sizes 12 months 16-19” head (Toddler 1-3 years 18-20” head, Child 3-10 years 19-21” head, Avg. Adult 21-22” head, Large Adult 23-24” head). Follow the coordinated color in the pattern for whatever size you choose to make.
Abbreviations & Terms - US terminology:
Ch - chain
Hdc - half double crochet
HdcSS - half double crochet slip stitch
Sl st - slip stitch
BLO - back loop only
St - stitch
FO - finish off
YO - yarn over
- stitch count or special notes
Join - sl st into st indicated
HdcSS - YO, insert your hook into next st, YO, pull through st and through all loops on the hook.
Gauge:
2x2” square should be 7 hdc wide and 4.5 rows tall
