Round Ball Cover Pattern K06

Materials Used:
Red Heart Metallic, White, size 4 Medium
Size 4 knitting needles (3.5 mm)
Small Round Plastic Ornament 2.5 in (6.25 cm) diameter.. I found this at the Dollar Tree and Walmart

Stitches Used.
Knit
Purl
Inc Increase (work 2 stitches in stitch)
Dec Decrease (work 2 stitches together)

Purl Ridge Stitch Pattern for straight needles
Row 1: knit across
Row 2: purl across
Row 3: knit across
Row 4: knit acoss

Purl Ridge Stitch for round needle.
Row 1: knit across
Row 2: knit across
Row 3: knit across
Row 4: purl across

Pattern for 2 straight needles.

Cast on 15 stitches.
Row 1: Knit across. Turn.
Row 2: Inc in each stitch across. Turn.
Row 3: Knit across. Turn.
Row 4: knit 1, inc 1 across. Knit 1. Turn
Work stitch pattern for straight needles for 16 rows
Row 21: Dec across. Turn
Row 22: Knit across. Turn
Row 23: Dec across. Turn
Row 24: Knit across. Turn
Cut thread leaving a long strand.
Pull the strand through the stitches and pull tight to gather. Secure with a knot.
Put the plastic ball inside, and using the large eye needle, sew up the sides and secure the top around the hanger part.

Pattern for round needles.
Cast on 15 stitches.
Row 1: Knit across
Row 2: Inc in each stitch across.
Row 3: Knit across.
Row 4: knit 1, inc 1 across. Knit 1.
Work stitch pattern for round needles for 16 rows
Row 21: Knit dec across.
Row 22: Knit across.
Row 23: Knit dec across.
Row 24: Knit across.
