Purl
Inc Increase (work 2 stitches in stitch)
Dec Decrease (work 2 stitches together)

Garter Ridge Stitch for straight needles turn at end of each row
Row 1: Knit across
Row 2: Purl across
Row 3: Knit across
Row 4: Knit across

Garter Ridge Stitch for round needle.
Row 1: Knit around
Row 2: Knit around
Row 3: Knit around
Row 4: Purl around
