Round Dragon is the latest design from Dragons Flight Designs. Originally planned as a blanket I realised it would work well as a cushion cover so designed a repeated pattern for the back of the cushion. This is a mosaic pattern but instead of working across the line and ending up with hundreds of ends this one works from the middle and goes round from the centre out. The best thing about this design is there are 2 continuous threads only which makes tying in the ends a 2 minute job when you’ve finished – perfect!

Dragons, crochet and excel spreadsheets are some of my favourite things so I love to bring them together to design patterns and then crochet them. Sometimes pictures other than dragons appear too.

Difficulty level is medium – it seems a little complicated at first but is easy to pick up

Green yarn = 370g, Cream yarn = 370g
Fits a 26” cushion pad
To adjust pattern to fit a 20” pad – 13 rounds from end – do not start the repeating pattern and make border in all cream or all green as required for 3 rounds then end (missing out the last 10 rounds) (note the pattern of the tail and horns of the dragon will need to be left in when ignoring the repeating pattern, this does not apply to the rear of the cushion cover)
