I needed some new hot pads, pan stands, trivets, what ever you call them, so I just made a few quick ones using simple stitches but still gives an effective finish.

100% cotton is needed to ensure they don’t melt with the heat - I find Drops Muskat is really durable and washes well.

Worked in UK terms using a 4.00 hook.

This is also a great stash busting project, as the colours change with each round.

Finished pot stand is about 22cm in diameter.
