Sometimes a spontaneous project is just the medicine you need. I picked up this yarn when in Portland, OR for the weekend, and (having consciously brought with me only one wip, which I had to finish) this luxurious yarn from North Light Fibers, paired with a modern mosaic stitch pattern, had my full attention the entire trip. Needless to say, it ramped up my knitting mojo and I was able to complete that had-to project as soon as I was back.
The mosaic style of knitting, which creates the geometrical colourwork, makes use of slipped stitches which allow you to work with only one colour each round. The addition of purl stitches along with the contrasting colour creates extra dimension and texture.
