Roxy’s Dischcloth is a very easy pattern, suitable for beginners. It uses the Suzette Stitch (sometimes called a Thicket Stitch) which is a combination of single and double crochets (double and treble crochets in UK terms). This stitch is perfect for when you want something that has some thickness to it but isn’t a yarn eater like a puff stitch or bobble stitch. It’s also a perfect stitch for when you want something more than a plain single or double crochet but still want the yarn’s colouring to be the main design feature.
Speaking of the colouring, this dishcloth is named for one of the long dogs of Long Dog Wool – Miss Roxy – because it is a colourful version of her chocolate dapple coat.
