Congratulations on the birth of your little prince or princess!

This soft beanie has a beautiful gold crown to fit on your little one’s head. The crown has been crocheted onto the beanie itself like a rolled brim. You can create the beanie to any color that you want. This beanie is great for everyday wear, hospital hat, coming home outfit, baby photo prop, or to be given as a gift to a new parent at a baby shower.

This is a great hat for those who are beginner/intermediate in their crochet skills. If you have pattern questions, I am happy to help!

Materials:

• 2 colors of medium worsted weight yarn. For this particular project, I used Caron Simply Soft medium worsted weight. Hat- Caron Simply Soft® “Ocean” Crown- Caron Simply Soft® “Gold”

• 5mm (H-8) crochet hook (depending on the thickness of the yarn and the tension in your crochet stitches, you may find you will need to use an I hook or a G Hook to get the right tension in your stitches).

• Scissors Yarn Needle/ Measuring tape

This pattern offers THREE sizes:

To determine the correct size, please measure around the largest part of the head (above the ears and across the forehead).

0-3 months: Baby’s head circumference: 13-14 inches
3-6 months: Baby’s head circumference: 14- 15 inches
6-12 months: Baby’s head circumference: 16- 17 inches
