Royal Icing
Any yarn can be used and your chosen hook size will dictate your gauge, and consequently, the finished size of your fabric and the amount of yarn needed.
Example pictures of different yarns and colour combos are shown. I ‘chunked up’ DK weight yarn (video how to supplied) in my colourful version to make a bedside rug. My green and white version has flashes of sparkly red on the reverse and I used feather yarn and some golden thread to fluff up the cut tassel ends, left over from the overlay technique, rather than adding a border. I love a fluffy fringe dont you?
Clear written instructions for 2 repeats are given to support three syles of charts.
The 3 versions of the charts are as follows:-
One marked with X’s showing 2 colours. You can clearly see the design with the shaded squares n the chart.
A second, which is marked with X’s but does not have shaded squares. In printer friendly black and white it allows you to colour it in to show your chosen colours.
The third chart is also Customizable and Printer Friendly, and shows symbols for the Cro-Faux version, which is continuous and reversible and supporting video links are supplied for stitches used and technique.
The 3 style of Chart Shows 2 Repeats in width and length. They are read from the bottom up and from either left- or right-hand sides to ensure universal use. Only one colour is used in each row – it can be cut at each end to leave a fringe or made continuously.
