Hats are such a quick project - they are fast and everybody likes hats some like them fitted, some like them slouchy.
When I designed the Royal vibes cowl I just thought will be great to have a matching hat.
And here it is in 2 options: with a hint of slouch or a more generous slouch
GAUGE -is relatively hard to measure exactly, due to the nature of purled stitches between the panels, but indication: one panel is approx 10cm wide. If your gauge is different, it may affect the final dimensions and yardage used.
MEASUREMENTS
Option 1: 48 cm wide x 25 cm high Option 2: 52cm wide x25cm high Measurements are at the widest part and not stretched

100g of a heavy DK (or worsted) will be enough to make this hat - all samples used under 200g of yarn. I personally think the hat looks better in a plain, uni colour, but up to your taste.

Please make sure you use a very stretchy cast on - I recommend the Bulgarian cast on

Even though the size is OSFM (adults and teens),change the size of the needle and you might achieve different sizes.

The hat is worked in the round but very easy to adjust for knitting flat and seamed - please message me if you have issues adjusting it.

I like how the crown decreases are actually showing like a royal crown
