Ruadh – from the Gaelic word for red-headed, is a lightweight easy knit for your summer wardrobe. The scooping neckline front and back make the top reversible. This pattern creates solid front and a mesh back that is modest for day but can be switched over to party mode after dark. There’s no shaping through the body, making this an easy knit all about drape and ease.

Suggested variations - Go full solid for a modest lightweight top that solves the problems of showing off your knits in warmer weather. Or embrace the lace and go full mesh for a fantastic beach cover up.
The style is a modified drop shoulder giving a little more room around the bust than a regular drop shoulder. I’ve done very short sleeves for the summer but you could add a little more length to suit your preference.

This pattern suits the beautiful drape of silk mixes or luxury cottons. The style shows off subtle tonal variations in yarn giving you the perfect excuse to indulge in something really special from your favourite indie dyer.
