Unlike other ruana patterns I have seen on the web and in print, this one has an actual neck opening, not just a slit between two rectangles, that allows the rest of the garment to drape comfortably around the body.
I have designed it to fit babies, kids and adults. The baby size uses dk weight yarns and the child and adults sizes use worsted or aran weight yarn.
The pattern also takes advantage of one long striping yarn with coordinating solids to achieve the look you see.
