To obtain a gauge swatch, work doily through round 9; sample should measure 3 in. in diameter.
Stitches: Back Post Single Crochet, Back Post Double Crochet, Front Post Double Crochet, Beginning Split Front Post Treble Crochet, Split Front Post Treble Crochet, Beginning 3-BPDC Decrease, 3-BPDC Decrease, 5-BPDC Decrease, Back Post Double Crochet Cluster, 4-FPDC Popcorn, Small Picot, and Large Picot (All special stitches are explained in stitch guide at beginning of pattern.)
Ruby is worked in 28 rounds, and instructions begin on pg 26. The doily is numbered 6 in the book and is shown on the front cover. No chart is given; instructions are written in standard American crochet shorthand.
Note:If you do not get gauge, you may not need as much crochet cotton as is specified. (See Arachnera’s project notes)
