The pattern is written in US crochet terminology, and is suitable for beginners to intermediate hookers. It has lots of photos to accompany the instructions (see sample).

Materials required:
● 3-4 x 50 g balls of Paton’s 8 ply cotton blend (or other 8 ply/DK cotton or cotton blend, ~5.3 oz).
● 4 mm/G crochet hook
● 3.5 mm/E crochet hook
● Yarn needle
● 30 mm coconut shell button (~1⅛ inch)

Finished size:
● Width 33 cm (13 inches)
● Length 33 cm (13 inches, not including strap)
● Strap 70 cm long x 2.5 cm wide (27.5 x 1 inch)

Stitches used
● Magic ring
● SC = single crochet (UK double crochet)
● DC = double crochet (UK treble)
● Ch = chain
● Sl st = slip stitch
● Starting V-stitch ​for the beginning of each row is made with a (SC, ch 2, DC) into the
same stitch
● V-stitch​ = DC, ch 1, DC in the same stitch
