This stockinette shawl with decorative ruches only uses extremely simple tecniques and basic stitches: stockinette and garter stitch. Along with strategically placed easy increases they give form to a visually interesting accessory that is perfectly fit for a beginner.
The shwal is knitted flat in rows on a long circular needle. You may prefer to use straights for the beginning part of the shawl, but by the time you come to the ruched section the huge number of stitches will be impossible to fit on straights. Use a circular long at least 80 cm (32”), but a longer needle will make you knitting easier once you get to the ruches.

Per realizzare lo scialle è sufficiente un ferro da 80 cm, tuttavia le ruches saranno più facili da lavorare su un ferro da 100 o 120 cm.
