Rudi's First Run Christmas Sweater
Well, Grandma got run over on Rudolf’s first run.
I was asked to do a lecture on how I designed intarsia projects. I hadn’t kept any of the pre-final pattern details from those included in my book, Keepsake Christmas Stockings, or for those designs in any of the supplemental patterns now in my store. I decided I had to start from scratch with a new project and keep all the pieces as I finalized the design. I also wanted something funny.
I had always wanted a fun sweater to wear to ugly Christmas sweater parties, so I started there. It was around Christmas time when I was asked to do the lecture and guess what song was playing at my house around that time? Grandma got run over by a reindeer. There to go. Rudi is very cute; maybe not so ugly.
As it takes significant effort to create the pattern, I would only do this with enough requests. If you would like a pattern or just the grid, please email me and I will make a determination, based on comments, how to proceed.
Thank you ladies at the Fort Vancouver Knitter’s Guild for inspiring the design.
