Knit our Reindeer in the Snow Hat suitable to fit a child from 1 to 11 years old.

Design
The hat is knitted flat on straight needles and has a cute reindeer peeping out from the snow motif. The motif is knitted following a chart and using the intarsia method. The red nose is knitted up and sewn on separately. You will need to sew the back seam and add a pompom to the top.

Sizes
The pattern includes 6 sizes to fit: 1-2 yrs, 2-3 yrs, 4-5 yrs, 6-7 yrs, 8-9 yrs and 10-11 years old. The picture shows the hat knitted for size 4-5 years old.

Yarn
The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).
The picture shows the outfit knitted using Stylecraft Special DK in shades White (1001), Red (Lipstick 1246), Camel (1420), Black (1002) and Dark Brown (1004).

Tension
22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.

Needles
Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.
