You will need to know basic to intermediate crochet and amigurumi skills. You will need a basic understanding of crocheting in the round, making a magic circle, how to change yarn colors and making an invisible single crochet decrease. If this toy is intended for a small child do not use the small jingle bells, they are a choking hazard. I have included a crochet pattern for a small bell for those who do not want to use metal bells. Also if you wish to crochet the rest of Santa’s reindeer you can change his nose color to black or brown.

You will need:

2.00mm crochet hook
Paintbox Yarn Cotton DK (size 3) or Lion Brand BonBons yarn (size 2) colors of choice (you are welcome to use any yarn you like even worsted or larger), I used Paintbox Yarn Cotton DK in these photos.
stuffing
scissors
sewing pins
yarn needle
3+ - 2/5” size bells (or larger if using worsted weight)

Size: Rudolph is about 4” from his hooves to the tips of his antlers if you follow the yarn weight and hook size that I used in making him he will be slightly smaller if you use Lion Brand BonBons.

The pattern is in .PDF format and is 10 pages of detailed instructions that include photos for reference to guide you through the process of making him.
