Rue Montaigne Shawl
Inspired by an Haute Couture Atelier in Avenue Montaigne, Paris, France, where the magic happens. Rue Montaigne Shawl is an exquisite and feminine shawl that allows you to wear it in multiple ways, you can wrap it around your neck and shoulders, tie it, or leave it loose for a nice elegant drape.
CONSTRUCTION NOTES
Rue Montaigne is a crescent shaped shawl worked in three different sections. Worked from top down.
This pattern has two versions: a Sport weight version for a sport weight yarn, or two strands of light fingering weight yarn held double, and a DK weight version for a DK weight yarn, single stranded.
YARN
To make it simple, for the Sport weight shawl, you can use 2 strands of light fingering weight yarn held double. Or a sport weight yarn held single. And for the DK shawl, a dk weight yarn .
Sport weight version: You can use a light fingering yarn, like I did in this case held double. Or you can use a sport weight yarn held single. Keep in mind, if you are using a sport weight yarn held single, you will need approximately half the amount of yarn than what was used in the original design .
