This pattern is published in 52 Weeks of Shawls by Laine Publishing.

Aude Martin wanted to play with directions and rhythm to create an interesting design. Ruf is a triangular shawl knitted sideways, starting from the right tip. It has stockinette stitch bands decorated with thin stripes of contrast colour, worked in with short rows. The number of stitches grows steadily by increasing one stitch at the beginning of every right side row. When the maximum centre depth is achieved, the increases on the right side continue along with short rows that shape the left part of the shawl. Because of the cotton-wool yarn, Ruf can be worn all year long.
