J hook
Guage:
With J hook,
11 stitches and 14 rows (sc) – 4x4
Sizes:
Remember these stretch.
Small: about 10 inches
Medium: about 11 inches
Large: about 12 inches
If the size is not right you can use a bigger or smaller hook
A bit about fit…
For a very close fit use actual measurements (maybe even less)
For a close fit add 1 –2”
For a standard fit add 2 – 4”
For a loose fit add 4 – 6”
For an Oversize fit add 6” or more
Abbreviations and terms used in this pattern:
Ch = chain
Dc = double crochet
sc = single crochet
Sl st = slip stitch
st(s) = stitch (stitches)
bpdc= back post double crochet
fpdc= front post double crochet
Tbl = through back loop. When you sc tbl (single crochet through back loop) you will insert your hook under only the back loop of the next stitch, not under both loops like a normal single crochet stitch.
